Foam party at Sikorsky as 9 million litres of foam was discharged

Hansen Yuncken recently undertook discharge testing of the high expansion foam suppression system installed as part of the Sikorsky MH60-R TLS Facilities Project located adjacent to HMAS Albatross in Nowra, NSW. This is the first time testing of this system has been done and a huge crowd gathered to witness the spectacle.

The high expansion foam suppression system was installed within the 4,200m² Helicopter Maintenance Workshop and is one of the largest systems installed and tested for Rotary Wing Aircraft in Australia.

As part of the testing, the Workshop floor was covered in 2.2 meters of high expansion fire suppression foam within three minutes.
