Value-driven design innovations secure contract for Dubbo Health Services Redevelopment.

Managing the largest portfolio of Health capital works in Australia, NSW Health Infrastructure contracted Hansen Yuncken to undertake Stage 3 and 4 of the Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment. The $150m redevelopment project is set to revitalise existing assets, creating new facilities to meet an increasing demand for health services in the Dubbo region and surrounding areas.

Hansen Yuncken commenced on the project in January 2017 following a multi-staged tender process spanning several months.
Extensive planning and consultation has been undertaken by Health Infrastructure with key health and community representatives to ensure the redevelopment will meet the needs of the various communities who rely on health services at Dubbo Hospital.

Hansen Yuncken’s success can be attributed to the development of a value-driven design solution, and the NSW pre-construction team who worked with the client, third party design consultants and subcontractors during the tender period to collaboratively develop the best delivery solution.

Health Infrastructure, who oversees a vast portfolio of health projects across NSW, recognised the team's significant experience and success in the delivery of over $4 billion of health works nationally, many of which have been managed in operating hospital environments.

The Redevelopment will secure Dubbo Hospital’s place as a major rural referral centre and acute care hospital for speciality services for Dubbo and surround areas.
