Following the successful refurbishment of University of Newcastle’s existing facility, Hansen Yuncken is undertaking Stage 1B, a 1460m2 extension to the Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources research building.
Creating a state-of-the art research space, it will complement and support adjacent buildings. The generic and highly adaptable space reflects the intent to use it for research hotelling, embedding flexibility, energy efficiency, access, serviceability, safety and security.
The Site Services Infrastructure works package incorporates an upgrade to the existing NIER precinct sewer system as well as the construction of a new link road to connect the precinct to the main campus road system.
