Offering a new model in elective surgery health care, the refurbishment of the Surgery Centre accommodates an expansion of the elective surgery programme at Austin Health.
Upgrades included short stay wards, improved staff facilities, a Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) and four operating theatres, increasing the number of patients treated and significantly improving patient access to elective surgery.
Highlighting our team’s ability to work effectively within a sensitive working environment, construction was undertaken in a number of sequenced stages to minimise impact on the adjacent hospital operations and required ongoing communication and close coordination with key stakeholders.
