Located in the heart of the Hobart CBD, part of a busy operating retail arcade and proximate to the Elizabeth Street Mall, refurbishment of the Cat & Fiddle arcade required sensitivity to the public and surrounding businesses. Works involved demolition and alterations to a series of existing buildings, as well as a significant new façade treatment to give the building a much needed facelift. Waste removal and construction works created a number of logistical challenges and necessitated works to be undertaken outside normal operating hours.
