The role

The opportunity exists for a Project Engineer or an experienced Site Engineer looking to take the next step in their career. 

A permanent, full time position, the role will be based on our University of Tasmania Forestry Project in Hobart, approximately $130 million with a large sustainability focus.

UTAS Forestry will incorporate several flexible teaching spaces for various faculties, as well as offices for University Corporate Services staff. The project is currently in the demolition, and early structure works stage, with over two years of the program remaining.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects in accordance with commercial and quality outcomes and to the highest safety standards.

In so doing, the successful candidate shall be required to undertake daily site administration, programming, subcontractor management, quality checks and delivery management tasks as directed by the Project Manager.

 

What’s Needed

• Demonstrate a high level of competency in communication (written and verbal)
• Intelligent, ambitious and highly motivated
• A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience on large-scale commercial projects or similar
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience in structures will be viewed favourably
