We are currently seeking a Contracts Administrator to join team in Newcastle.

The Role
The opportunity exists for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join and contribute to our team regarding head contract administration, subcontractor negotiation and management, and cost reporting and programming.

We have secured a number of projects in the Newcastle region and need to add more strong administrators.

 

Responsibilities include

  • Assisting the Project Manager in preparing detailed forecasting spreadsheets, reports and analysis
  • Procurement of trades including draft Scope of Work, tender negotiations, awarding of subcontracts
  • Identification and administration of variations and RFI's
  • Processing invoices, progress claims, and delay claim according to contractual obligations
  • Cost reporting, scheduling and programming
  • Preparing, checking, and reviewing subcontract packages, scopes, lettings and procurement schedules
  • Research and document laws, technical needs and other factors relevant to project
  • Negotiate and update sub-contracts, their rates and their terms with sub-contractors

 

What’s Needed

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to Construction (Construction Management or Civil Engineering) 
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Contract Administration for a commercial builder based in Australia
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites and strong CHEOPS experience is essential
  • Demonstrate a high level of competency in communication (written and verbal)
  • Intelligent, ambitious, and highly motivated
  • Competent knowledge of subcontract tendering, standards, procedures, cost reports, procurement, construction programs, and plans
