Exciting opportunity to build your experience in large commercial building projects with our team in Tasmania!

We currently require a Project Manager to join our Tasmanian operations as part of the in progress Hedberg performing arts project team.

The role will allow you to build your experience in large commercial building projects with a highly collaborative team. You will report to the Operations Manager / Project Director and will be site based.

As the Project Manager you will lead the delivery team, working with innovative building techniques and strong management techniques, to deliver bespoke projects. Your programming experience will be key to managing the completion of key milestones and complying with contractual time requirements. The role also requires a commercially astute person who can exercise financial management and forecasting to ensure budgets are met for both the Client and Hansen Yuncken. The management of subcontractors and suppliers day to day to ensure costs are controlled is an integral part of this requirement. You will need to be able drive sub-contractors whilst ensuring safety and quality are not compromised. Having a hands-on approach will ensure you are across the program and any day to day issues that may arise, and remain in touch with your team to provide support where needed.

The role will suit someone with a commercial building background. Experience in delivering larger public buildings would be advantageous. You will be a very effective communicator and use stakeholder engagement skills to manage the Client and other relevant parties. Working in line with our internal management systems, you will take ownership to achieve positive outcomes in all you do.

You will clearly be able to demonstrate your capabilities as a Project Manager and have a proven track record in delivering commercial projects over $50M.

At Hansen Yuncken our aim is to make your career with us both enjoyable and challenging.
