Hansen Yuncken Appoints New CEO

The Board of Hansen Yuncken has announced that George Bardas will become Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Peter Salveson who is retiring from Hansen Yuncken after eight years in the role.

Mr Bardas joins Hansen Yuncken after some two decades in senior national executive roles in commercial construction.

David Beslich, Co-Chair and Executive Director, Hansen Yuncken, said Mr Bardas’ leadership, experience, and proven track record in growing client-focused businesses made him the right person to lead Hansen Yuncken.

“George will build on our commercial strategy and ensure we continue to deliver our vision to provide the services of a preferred building partner and employer recognised for our integrity and innovation.”

Richard Hansen, Co-Chair and Executive Director, said Mr Bardas brings strong networks and a relationship-focused approach to the role.

Mr Bardas said he was looking forward to commencing in the new role.

The Board also acknowledged outgoing CEO Peter Salveson for his service to the company and his leadership and dedication to the business over nearly three decades, particularly his time as CEO since 2016.

Mr Bardas will join Hansen Yuncken on 3 March.
