About the role
The opportunity exists for an experienced Site Engineer to join and contribute to our team and manage aspects of one of our latest commercial / health / educational projects valued at $300M in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. The Site Engineer will be part of the high-performing fit-out team.
Reporting to the Project Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the current growth of the branch and be a part of one of our most challenging projects currently.
Responsibilities
- Project and contract management during construction to ensure all project objectives, including time, budget, quality, safety and environmental requirements are achieved.
- Tasks include site meetings, site inspections, and working collaboratively with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Monitor construction progress for adherence to the program, reporting to the Site Manager and Project Manager.
- Innovative resolution of design issues, working collaboratively with the design team and proposing solutions where applicable.
- Provide critical input throughout the handover and commissioning phase for the project.
- Prepare detailed and accurate project reporting for management and other internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring and reporting on compliance of the works, ensuring these meet Hansen Yuncken’s standards
What’s needed
- 2-3 years post-graduate experience.
- 1-5 years as a Site Engineer, with a tier 1 or 2 builder in Australia is essential.
- Fit-out experience on large scale commercial/government or high end residential projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of design drawings and technical specifications.
- Professional, strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Effective time management skills, including sequencing of work and resource management.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of high-standard compliance.
