The Echuca Regional Health Redevelopment delivered contemporary and vital health services for members of the Echuca-Moama and surrounding communities. In a two staged approach, the hospital underwent partial demolition and construction while remaining open and completely functional. The initial stage involved the removal of the North-West corner and construction of the new surgical, medical, maternity and paediatric IPU’s, as well as the construction of a new emergency department, imaging department and associated car parking. Stage 2 comprised the remaining demolition and construction of the new emergency department, and the balance of HDU, new main entry, cafe, spiritual spaces and connections to theatres and day procedures unit.
