Hansen Yuncken was awarded the Design and Construct Contract for the Fraser Coast Regional Council – Hervey Bay Library and Administration Centre (incorporating Disaster Resilience Centre).

With a GFA of 13,500m2, the proposed Library and Administration Centre will be constructed over five levels, with a further level of basement car parking. The building will provide a new Library and Community Hub, Disaster Resilience Centre, Administration space to consolidate the location of Council’s staff as well as new Council Chambers. The project includes excavation and earthworks, stormwater drainage, kerb and channel, pavement and new asphalt surfacing, construction of concrete footpaths, line marking, lighting and landscaping.

The Hervey Bay Library and Administration Centre (incorporating a Disaster Resilience Centre) is a commitment under the Hinkler Regional Deal and is due for completion by June 2026.
