The Rockhampton Hospital provides surrounding areas with access to advanced clinical facilities. The seven level expansion included additional ward floors, provision for critical care, high dependency units and a regional cancer care centre. The 16,700m2 healthcare facility provides Central Queensland with increased clinical services for medical oncology, radiation oncology and dedicated inpatient oncology beds. The link bridges and extensive site works, plus immediate access to the Emergency Department, fully integrate the new building into the hospital campus, with provisions for a future rooftop helipad.
