Situated within the exciting innovation precinct – Lot Fourteen, the Bice Building refurbishment was the final stage of heritage works to be undertaken for the precinct.
The four level, state heritage listed building has undergone a complete façade restoration, structural and seismic upgrades, new services including lifts, mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, IT/communications with modern contemporary finishes and fixtures. A heritage listed building, works on the Bice Building saw prefabricated modularised canopies link the McEwin and Bice buildings.
The project has a strong focus on Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD), achieving a 6 Star Green Star certification.
This is the second project Hansen Yuncken has completed at Lot Fourteen, recently completing the refurbishment of the McEwin Building.
