A comprehensive scope of works, initially involving the refurbishment/extension of the existing Q Store, construction of three new buildings for the Signals Troop Wing, Battle Command Wing and Observers Training Wing, new vehicle shelter, two carparks, infrastructure services and precinct landscaping.
The scope expanded to include the challenging task of relocating transportable buildings to the Defence ‘Territorial Field Training Area’ facility at high range, approximately 40km northwest of Townsville, and the ‘Tully Jungle Training Area’ in Tully, approximately 180km south of Cairns – an exercise which required meticulous forward planning and a high level of procedural management.
