This intense, multi-site delivery of school projects presented unparalleled logistical challenges. Resourcing and programming limits were tested due to the sheer scale, complexity and short time frames required to meet school calendar needs. Hansen Yuncken was responsible for the design, construction and refurbishment of infrastructure including communal halls, covered learning areas, libraries, classrooms, canteens, administration areas and toilet blocks.
Through the implementation of precise sequencing and new technologies, Hansen Yuncken successfully delivered this $721 million project, encompassing 304 separate projects within 203 operating schools. An innovative program was developed to provide improved recording, logistics coordination, resource management, accounting and forward planning, with transparent and real time access to project status for the client across the multiple sites. Lessons-learnt subsequently formed the basis of our innovative HYway information platform.
