The University of Queensland's Liveris Building will be a flagship platform to integrate innovative teaching with interdisciplinary and solutions-focused research.
The 11-storey development located at the St Lucia campus will include heavy equipment laboratories, high student load learning and research spaces, with staff and student supporting office spaces. The glazed central atrium will provide increased amenity to the lower levels, with suspended meeting pods and interconnecting staircases dispersed throughout the building. Elevated meeting pods and connecting stairs will also feature on the lower levels of the Eastern and Western dual skin façade’s, featuring an articulated glass ‘veil’.
These new spaces, spanning over 22,000m2, will act as a vibrant hub for industry and interdisciplinary collaboration. This state of the art building will inspire students, research scholars and staff, enabling industry partners to participate in the learning and discovery process.
