The new four storey Scientia Building for St Patrick’s College Strathfield will complement the school’s pursuit of excellence and set a new benchmark for state of the art learning spaces.

The project scope of works includes the construction of the new 4,300m² building, with basement carpark (circa 3,000m²), integrated tiered seating and adjacent hard paved terraced areas.

The new Scientia Building will feature food tech classrooms, a canteen and café, including an outdoor dining area, science learning spaces including labs, flexible community spaces, general learning areas, two rooftop tennis courts and the re-instatement of two ground-level tennis courts.

The works are undertaken in response to an anticipated growing community in the coming years. The school is therefore seeking to increase its student population by a total of 354 across an eight-year period.

The new building will be located at the heart of the busy Strathfield campus. With operational continuity of the school the highest priority, the team will be responsible for ensuring minimal disruption to the school's day to day operations through a considered staging approach, noise and vibration reduction strategies, and efficient circulation of vehicles and pedestrians.
