An important development in the continuing revitalisation of the Hobart CBD, the new VHA Hobart Call Centre will house 1000 staff, attracting workers through innovative and fun inclusions in the 5320m2 fitout. Much-anticipated, features of this purpose built centre – Vodafone’s flagship facility – include world-class staff amenities including ping pong tables, spiral tube slides, basketball hoops, Xbox and foosball facilities, and state-of-the-art call technology. With productivity its main aim, the fitout includes chat zones, meeting pods, meditation areas and energise zones for workers to relax and ‘refuel’.
The Vodafone centre is also one of the most environmentally friendly and energy efficient buildings in Tasmania with a 4.5 Star NABERS (National Australian Built Environment Rating System) rating.
Hansen Yuncken coordinated the works to follow immediately behind the base building construction which was ongoing at the time of commencement by another company.
