Housing the new Victorian headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency, this 6 Green Star-accredited fitout incorporated high-quality and environmentally sensitive design and construction techniques. The fitout redevelopment delivered a new staircase to service all floors, extensive structural strengthening works, new services to floors and high-level joinery and finishes.
In a challenging delivery model, the fitout works commenced alongside base building works, with both delivered simultaneously within this original 1960s building. Hansen Yuncken overcame these staging difficulties to deliver the fitout in line with the client’s specifications, meeting demanding program goals and achieving all relevant project objectives. The quality of this project was recognised through the award of a Master Builders Association of Victoria Excellence in Shop and Office Fitout, as well as an Australian Institute of Building (Victorian Chapter) Professional Excellence Award for Commercial Construction projects valued at between $1-10 million.
