Under a two-phase procurement strategy, Hansen Yuncken was awarded the contract for the redevelopment of Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. Representing the single largest NSW Government investment in regional health upgrades, this redevelopment consists of a new seven-storey acute hospital building, associated external works and car parking.
The facility also includes a new Emergency Department, imaging and diagnostic services, procedure centre, critical care service, women’s and children’s health, pharmacy services, increased support services, multiple levels of inpatient units, roof top helipad and associated back of house and engineering services. As a major rural referral hospital, the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital works in collaboration with the district’s local health services to provide care across the region.
