Hansen Yuncken has recently delivered the $100 million state of the art meat processing and distribution centre for Hilton Foods Australia.
The facility is a temperature controlled environment of multiple chambers, which includes mezzanine floors carrying various levels of automated processing and storage equipment. This facility mimics the design and performance elements of the recently completed Victorian facility, however the Heathwood facility boasts a larger footprint and extra processing capability. The 25,000m2 facility is divided into processing, distribution and administration areas.
The international specialist retail meat packing company the Hilton Food Group has invested a significant amount into automation plant, racking and equipment within the warehouse to accommodate the supply of Woolworths stores with a range of beef, lamb, pork and added value products.
