The Melbourne Assessment Prison located in Melbourne’s CBD provides assessment and orientation services for the majority of male offenders entering Victoria's correctional system. The new reception facility accommodates an increased volume of offender receptions, in a safe and humane environment. The scope of works included a major two-storey extension to the existing six level facility, which remained fully operational throughout construction. The new spaces provide processing and holding cells and administration areas, completed with state of the art security and building automation systems.
