Rundle Place has given Adelaide an international retail destination and a new lease on life, creating strong retail connections between Rundle Mall and the Grenfell Street commercial precinct. The upmarket development involves the $385M conversion of the former Harris Scarfe site, aiming to attract rising international brands to the Adelaide CBD for the first time.
Across 30,000m2 of gross area, the four integrated levels are focussed around a central atrium, with 65 specialty shops, a highly contemporary food court, the first Apple store in Adelaide, the first full-line Coles supermarket in the Adelaide CBD and Harris Scarfe’s flagship Australian store.
In addition to our role as Managing Contractor, HY was appointed fitout contractor for six tenancies, including Best & Less, Novo Shoes, Kids Who, Blow Hairdressing, Cross Roads and Step Shoes. From cold shell to fully branded outlets, the six tenancies were successfully constructed in a tight five week timeframe to meet the centre’s opening date.
