Elevating Industry Dialogue: Princeton University Headlines Innovative Workshop Hosted by Hansen Yuncken
23 July, 2025Hansen Yuncken proudly partnered with Autodesk to host an interactive workshop designed to spark industry-wide conversation on smarter, more integrated project delivery. Held in Sydney, the exclusive event welcomed clients and project partners for an in-depth exploration into how digital technologies and collaborative thinking are shaping the future of construction.
The centrepiece of the workshop was a keynote presentation from Bill Bausmith, Executive Director of Construction – Office of Capital Projects at Princeton University. With more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry and a leadership role in Princeton’s $6 billion campus-wide capital program, Bill brought a global and experienced perspective to the local stage. His presentation, “Delivering Successful Business Outcomes from Design through to Construction and Facilities Management,” offered attendees rare insight into Princeton’s transformative campus expansion and their commitment to fully integrated Digital-to-Facility Management systems.

“We’ve long believed that the future of construction lies in strong collaboration between people, clients, process and technology,” said Rexine Jones, Chief Financial & Information Officer at Hansen Yuncken. “Bringing someone of Bill’s calibre to Australia and creating the space for meaningful conversations with our clients and partners reflects our commitment to continually raising the bar.”

Throughout the two days, participants engaged in interactive sessions showcasing Hansen Yuncken’s own digital project delivery tools, including the integration of VDC and BIM into live projects. The sessions provided an opportunity to learn from Princeton’s ambitious capital works program and how key principles could be applied within the Australian context to drive business value across the project lifecycle.
“This event was a rare opportunity to share Princeton’s continuous commitment to creativity in our industry,” said Bill Bausmith, Executive Director of Construction at Princeton University. “To have this chance to share similar values with likeminded industry leaders from around the world is remarkably rewarding. The more clearly owners can define their needs and aspirations, the more swiftly technology can adapt the more efficient our construction partners can be.”

“It was a privilege to collaborate with Bill Bausmith and Hansen Yuncken,” added Sumit Oberoi, Senior Manager, Construction Strategy & Partnerships, APAC at Autodesk. “These discussions not only deepened strategic alignment but also fostered a shared vision for innovation and excellence in complex project delivery. The insights exchanged have laid a strong foundation for future collaboration and industry leadership.”
By creating a platform for shared learning and global connection, Hansen Yuncken continues to drive forward in shaping what’s possible through innovation, partnership and performance.
