HMAS Creswell
A premier training campus for the Royal Australian Navy, the diverse and technically complex upgrade of this base involved heritage restoration, refurbishment and environmental remediation and infrastructure upgrades within an environmentally sensitive marine area. Our project team designed and constructed new combat survival training facilities, the School of Survivability and Ship Safety – introducing new capability without precedent in Australia and the upgrade of all civil infrastructure and base wide services, in addition to an innovative, foam treatment facility.
Upgraded staff amenities included new military accommodation, pools, fitness centre and Geelong House – a classroom with operable wall allowing flexible conversion to a 300 seat function room with full commercial kitchen and bar facilities. Planning was critical to avoiding disruption to base operations – detailed upfront scheduling and programming, working closely with our client.
