New Public Schools at Googong and Murrumbateman
The New Public Schools in Googong and Murrumbateman project involved the construction of two new primary schools in regional NSW, close to the ACT border. The new school in Googong features Core 35 facilities with 30 homebases and three support classrooms to support up to 700 students while Murrumbateman includes Core 21 facilities, with 16 homebases to support up to 370 students.
Both schools were constructed on greenfield sites, employing a combination of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA)/Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and conventional build methodologies. The final build includes a library, special programs unit, communal hall, covered outdoor learning areas, sports facilities, administration facilities and carparking.
