North Melbourne Primary School’s new Molesworth Street campus set a bold new benchmark for vertical learning in the heart of the city. Rising seven storeys, this visionary project delivered a dynamic, future-focused facility for 525 students within one of Melbourne’s most densely populated inner-urban areas.

The works brought to life multi-purpose classrooms, breakout hubs, a vibrant library, and purpose-built music and performing arts areas. A thoughtfully integrated Early Learning Centre (ELC) on Level 5 catered for 66 students, complete with playful outdoor learning zones, a sandpit and a cubby house. Students were energised by an expansive, landscaped playground featuring bespoke play equipment, tiered amphitheatre seating, and an all-weather gymnasium — designed to double as vital community spaces beyond school hours.

Delivered with a strong focus on flexibility, sustainability and community connection, the project responded to the challenges of vertical construction and inner-city logistics with smart, solutions-driven execution. North Melbourne Primary School became more than just a school — it stood as a landmark blueprint for the future of education in Victoria.
