South Australian Ambulance Service Precinct

The South Australian Ambulance Service (SAAS) precinct provides key infrastructure facilities for SA Health incorporating IL4 post-disaster standard design, fully redundant services and was delivered under a fast-tracked program of 14 months from break ground to SAAS Early Access and 16 months to Practical Completion. The stakeholder and construction teams were closely aligned on the mission critical nature of the project driving design and decisions effectively supporting fast paced construction of the facility.

The project involved a 6,700m2 two-storey facility that includes an Ambulance Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) incorporating a 000 Call Centre, along with a State Health Coordination Centre. A separate, 1,500m2 Adelaide ambulance station and garage was built adjacent, completing the precinct.
