State Drill Core Library Relocation

Forming part of the Tonsley Precinct revitalisation, the award winning State Drill Core Library hosts over 7.5 million metres of geological samples, offering a glimpse into South Australia’s rich history of mineral exploration over 130 years.

Combining storage, administration and operation, the state of the art facility has been designed to resemble a ‘library’ with collection, viewing, administration and ‘educational’ functions. The Library was constructed in two stages, with initial handovers for decanting and stocking the drill-cores on hi-bay racking in mid-2015 and overall completion achieved in December 2015.
