Introduction to the Project Remediate Pattern Book Event

On 14 June, Hansen Yuncken and ACOR, in collaboration with Blackett Macguire & Goldsmith, the Office of Project Remediate and ACA as CPD Partner, held an Introduction to the Project Remediate Pattern Book event.

The Pattern Book was developed for Project Remediate to provide guidance and recommendations for design solutions to remove and replace combustible cladding in Class 2 buildings. The Pattern Book will be maintained as a legacy of Project Remediate and form a resource for Designers and Building Practitioners working in Class 2 construction.

This event highlighted the following topics:

-      A summary and update on Project Remediate

-      The role of the cladding and façade and the response to recent façade fires

-      The issues relating to the wall cladding build-up identified during our field investigations

-      The applicable rules, regulations and materials endorsed for remedial works undertaken by Project Remediate

-      Introduction of the Pattern Book to the industry

-      A guest panel, including Tanya O’Brien, Director of Project Remediate, Angus Kell from Hansen Yuncken, Antonio Canuto from Blackett Maguire + Goldsmith, John Williams and Greg Trainor from ACOR.
