Hansen Yuncken have a proud history of supporting regional communities through its Victorian regional offices in Shepparton and Albury. Following the 2020 Victorian bushfires that destroyed homes throughout the State, Hansen Yuncken offered its support through its regional offices with employees that were from the fire effected regions. This offered a unique support as the clean-up was supervised by people from within the community. The clean-up program consisted of the demolition, removal and disposal of all buildings destroyed or damaged beyond repair including residential, commercial and public buildings as well as sheds.
To promote the local economy, Hansen Yuncken prioritised local contractors for the work. Close financial administration and record keeping was required as this involved both State and federal funding. Hansen Yuncken completed this work at cost at no profit in partnership with Grocon. This was a truly unique community project made a success through our collaborative approach.
