In the footsteps of our founders

We lead by doing. Our senior team sets an agenda that faces forward, nurturing a positive working culture while never losing sight of our client’s needs.

Peter Salveson, CEO

With a 30-year career across both operational and executive roles, Peter has honed a unique ability to transform business strategy into solid design and construction outcomes. Over two decades at Hansen Yuncken, he’s directed major complex projects, forged trusted relationships with government and clients, established an open, accessible culture internally and received the Australian Institute of Building Professional Excellence Award no less than four times.

Richard Hansen, Director and State Manager (VIC)

Hansen Yuncken is in Richard’s blood. As a fourth-generation family member, he has decades of industry experience both locally and internationally, taking an entrepreneurial approach to business development. He also takes a leading role in the broader industry as the current Deputy President of the Master Builders Association Victoria.

Mark Rosenboom, State Manager (SA)

Mark has led the Hansen Yuncken team through multiple high-profile projects in Adelaide, including Adelaide Airport, SA Water, and the $2 billion new Royal Adelaide Hospital. With a strong strategic bent, he prides himself in creating smart, pragmatic design solutions that maximise value for money and environmental sustainability in every project.

Nick Luzar, State Manager (NSW and ACT)

Over his 20-year career, Nick has developed a reputation for delivering major infrastructure projects across a range of sectors and procurement types.  He’s directed a $2.1billion infrastructure business, and achieved impressive win ratios to generate turnover in excess of $700m in just one year.  With a commitment to nurturing the future of the industry, Nick lectured on Construction Marketing at the University of NSW for five years, and continues to mentor promising young professionals.

Greg Baumann, State Manager (QLD)

Greg accepted a job as a graduate coordinator in Adelaide 23 years ago, and continues to build his career at Hansen Yuncken today. This longevity is a testament both to his tenacity and energy, and to the pull of a working culture that is equal parts supportive and challenging. Greg’s recent achievements include complex projects across the health, civic and retail sectors, and a growing expertise in contract delivery arrangements.

Bruce Maher, State Manager (TAS)

Bruce has led the Tasmanian team with local knowledge and a personal, genuine approach to business development. His 20 years of strategic leadership has nurtured Hansen Yuncken’s thriving Tasmanian business, across projects such as the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) and the new Parliament Square.
